Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Ethical Codes for Publication in Journal of Amran University

The Journal of Amran University (JAU) is a scientific journal that publishes research papers in the fields of humanities and applied sciences. It is issued twice a year.

The followings statements are a policy that describes the guidelines of the publication process in Journal of Amran University. Specifically, the journal adopts and strive to adhere to the following criteria for accepting papers to publish in the Journal:

  • Manuscript which has been submitted to other journals, conferences, or any publishers will be not accepted to publication in JAU. Likewise, any paper previously published anywhere, will be rejected.
  • An abstract, not more than 200 words, should come along precisely with the manuscript. It should present briefly an impartial description of the research's purpose, methodology (i.e. population, simple, instrument), results, applications, and recommendations.
  • submitted manuscript should be original and free from any plagiarism in all its forms. If work and/ or text has been included to the manuscript, the author(s) should refer to it by citations. Also, the author/s should indicate all sources that have supported his work and declare any conflict(s) of interest.
  • manuscript should be submitted according to the standards of the journal as they illustrated in the attached template.
  • Authors are responsible for any legal responsibility due to any illegal behavior they have committed.
  • Researcher should report and briefly describe the sponsor/s, if his search is funded, within the sentences of the acknowledgement.
  • Our journal is not obligated to return the original copies of the received research, and there is no permission for requesting journal committee to return the research copies, whether published or not.
  • The manuscript is submitted electronically in (Word or latex) format to the initial email of the journal (joausat21@gmail.com) or (jaust@amu.edu.ye).
  • Pages of the manuscript are margined as 3 cm of the top as well as 2 cm from the right, left, and bottom of each paper. The space between lines of the text must be a single space.
  • Pages of the whole submitted manuscript should be no more than 30 pages, including references and indexes, as well.
  • Submitted manuscript should be written in an inclusive, and a scientific language. The text of the manuscript should be free from any mistakes of English writing, and any misuse of punctuation.
  • For researches in human studies, references of the manuscript should be set down in terms of APA style, either within the text, or the list of references. likewise, research in applied science studies should be set down according to the IEEE style.
  • As regards to included tables, figures, and equations, the researcher(s) should include them within the manuscript's text in terms of APA style, or IEEE style (i.e. as mentioned in the previous item).
  • manuscript should be written using Times New Roman font, using size 12 for the text of the manuscript and 10 for tables, figures, and footnote.
  • style of main titles, and hiding titles are the same (i.e. it should be bold).
  • Tables and figures are formulated with the text, in justified alignment.
  • numbers and titles of the tables are written serially above tables, while for the figures, they are also written serially under the figures,
  • researcher should attach his/her CV to his manuscript.
  • copyright for all published materials becomes the property of JAU. The author must return the copyright agreement before publishing his/her paper.
